Alpine Skier Viktor Petkov Visits NP Mavrovo
Today, a meeting was held at the Administration of Mavrovo National Park between the Director of NP Mavrovo, Haris Ibraimi, and the Macedonian Olympian and alpine skier, Viktor Petkov, who represented the Republic of Macedonia at this year’s Winter Olympic Games in Milano–Cortina, Italy.
Viktor Petkov made his Olympic debut in the giant slalom discipline, where, amid fierce global competition and on one of the most challenging slopes in the world, he successfully finished the race and secured 55th place, confirming his potential as one of Macedonia’s most promising skiers.
As always, Mavrovo National Park remains a strong supporter of young Macedonian athletes and the development of sports in the Republic of Macedonia. The park pays special attention to supporting and developing winter sports, as well as all sports that contribute to promoting healthy values, an active lifestyle, and a love for nature.
In the future, NP Mavrovo will continue to be an open partner and a pillar of support for Macedonian athletes and sporting talents, remaining at their disposal for their further development and athletic success.
